About our Company
Guided Crossings companions with terminally ill clients and their families to provide information, resources, compassion, and to provide a greater sense of peace and dignity by formulating plans for a good death.
We were created to be your compass to guide you through the experience of death, to companion you with a Death Doula to walk beside you preparing for your terminal illness, helping you to create a legacy project for your friends and loved ones, creating sacred spaces, helping you to prepare advance care directives and medical power of attorneys, facilitating conversations with your loved ones, and filling in the gaps between your medical, palliative, and hospice teams.
Our founder, Kiki Watson-Scruggs, graduated from Concord Law School in 2012 and obtained Death Doula Certification from IAP Career College in 2022. With her Law Degree and her experience in her Master’s Program in School Counseling, she has a strong understanding of the human experience of loss, grief, death, love and joy, as well as an understanding of the mechanics and practicalities of preparing clients and families for death and loss. Kiki has extended her education and experience of 20 years working with estates and probates in the Texas Title Insurance business, into the work of preparing clients for the end of life. Formerly a long time Texas resident, Kiki now resides in North Carolina with her husband Chris, son Ben, and their rescue cat Sass.
It would be Guided Crossings honor to be of service to you, to be your advocate, and to help you have the good death that will honor you and who you are to your friends and family.
